Miniature landscapes inside mint tins

Theguardian_ Since 2017, Colorado-based painter Remington Robinson has been painting outdoor scenes on the inside lids of Altoids tins. Citing the work of fellow plein-air artist Monet as inspiration, Robinson recreates views he finds on his travels, spanning sunny meadows, azure lakes and distant mountains. “I always like painting the Flatirons, the rock formation here in Boulder,” he says. “But really, I like anything that has interesting lighting conditions. Nature inspires me.”
