Paris show blends happiness and melancholia of young Picasso
More than 300 works from two key periods in Pablo Picasso`s early years go on display in Paris on Tuesday, the first time they have been brought together in the city where the Spanish master took his first steps toward revolutionary new territories of modern art.

National Gallery of Art opens major exhibition of Corot`s paintings of women
Dressed in rustic Italian costume or nude on a grassy plain, rendered with a sophisticated use of color and a deft, delicate touch, Corot`s women convey a mysterious sense of their inner lives. Corot: Women features 44 paintings created between the 1840s and the early 1870s: nudes, individual figures in costumes, and an allegorical series of the model in the studio. The National Gallery of Art is the only venue for Corot: Women, on view from September 9 through December 31, 2018.

The largest ever work by Zao Wou-Ki, Juin-Octobre 1985, leads Sotheby`s HK autumn 2018 sale series
Sotheby`s will present Juin-Octobre 1985, the largest-ever painting by Franco-Chinese artist Zao Wou-Ki, at its Modern Art Evening Sale on 30 September 2018 in Hong Kong. Measuring 10 metres long and 2.8 metres in height, this monumental and exceedingly rare triptych was commissioned personally by celebrated architect I. M. Pei for Raffles City in Singapore. Juin-Octobre 1985 is expected to fetch in excess of HK$350 million, a world auction record for the Zao Wou-Ki. This masterpiece will be available for public viewing during Sotheby`s Hong Kong Autumn Sales preview from 28 to 30 September.

Liza Lou exhibition in Korea opens at Lehmann Maupin Seoul
Lehmann Maupin announces an exhibition of new and recent work by Liza Lou at Lehmann Maupin, Seoul. The Classification and Nomenclature of Clouds as the inaugural exhibition of the gallery’s new, additional location at West 24th Street and Tenth Avenue. Lou will present a series of recent bodies of work produced over the last three years, including her monumental The Clouds (2015-18), recently exhibited at the 21st Biennale of Sydney. The gallery will host an opening reception for the artist on Thursday, September 6, from 6 to 8 PM, at 501 West 24th Street.
